Grooving & Safety Beveling
The ALE-5100SG and HC have a unique multi-functional arm that provides accurate and precise grooving and safety beveling. The full range of controls provides selectable width and groove position and adjustable safety bevel settings. Even an inexperienced operator can achieve optimum results.
Applicable for Higher Base-Curve Frames
All the ALE-5100 series edgers have an edging mode that can be used for higher base-curve frames. In addition, the ALE-5100HC has a mini wheel for high-quality edging to fit lenses perfectly even with those high wrap frames.
Specialty Lenses
The ALE-5100 Series automatically calculates the ideal bevel placement for specialty lenses such as executives, lenticular and even higher-base curved lenses.

Precise Edging Control
The technologically advanced control system enables precise final fitting. The ALE-5100 Series automatically determines the ultimate bevel position no matter what lens power is being edged. The 3-D tracing is incorporated in the edger's calculation for bevel position at the thinnest and thickest edge portion of the lens and it is displayed on the color screen for precise confirmation of the bevel position.

Convenient Pop-Up Display
The large 10.4" color screen provides a clear and easily readable display. By using the intuitive Windows®-format style menu, the operator can quickly enter all the required data. The color screen displays both the right and left shapes in their actual-size, which allows for quick verification of the lens size.
Job Memory
As a standard feature, the ALE-5100 Series can store up to 2,000 jobs through the Function Keys. An optional bar-code reader is also available.
Rimless Shape Designer (Optional Software)
The optional rimless frame designer software allows the operator to alter the lens final shape to customize 3-piece rimless frames. This operating software can increase or decrease the nasal, temporal, superior and inferior sides; ideal for accommodating progressive lenses to patients' decentrations.
Stages of Operation
Different screen colors are used on the display to indicate the various stages of operation. The WINDOWS®-format multi-task job function allows for multiple job processing.
