GPT-9000A saved time by 25 percent and greatly increased accuracy in all phases in construction
Enoki Industries Co., Ltd. recently utilized the Topcon Robotic Total Station GPT-9000A for road improvement work in Niimi-city, Okayama, Japan.
"We have introduced the newest surveying equipment to increase the quality and smoothness of the road. At the same time, we wanted to improve on-site work efficiency," said Koki Enoki, president of Enoki Industries. "We evaluated robotic systems of several manufacturers before we purchased the GPT-9000A. Through this evaluation, we found Topcon has the best software for us in both functionality and user-friendliness; we found the remote controller was very handy."
He said, "The GPT-9000A allowed us to cut down on the time needed to perform the task by 25 percent. We also saved considerable labor cost because one person can perform all surveying tasks. Topcon's controller software is excellent in its roading program," Enoki continued. "Even if we need design changes during the construction stage, we can make quick on-site calculations to create new control points and setting-out points. We save significant time, by not having to go back to the office."
